Butterfly cake

I did this cake for a friend and didn't allow myself enough time to finish it. I had planned to outline in black a design on the wings...oh well. My favorite part was that the inside was actually rainbow as well but I will have to post the picture of the inside later...can't remember where I saved it.

I was debating whether or not to post this one...My son got sick on his birthday so we had to throw the cakes in the freezer...for a month and when I defrosted them the icing ran everywhere :( but if you use your imagination you can picture them perfect :)

I don't get many opportunities to sit down and draw but I found an outlet while making cakes for my children's birthdays. I have branched out a little and done some wedding cakes and birthday cakes for friends and family as well. I get most of my ides from the internet so I thought I would "give back" for those of you looking for ideas too!
